Nanya Technology Corporation was founded on March 4, 1995. The company conducts research and development, design, manufacturing, and sales of DRAM products, with worldwide sales offices in USA , Europe, Japan and China . The main shareholder is Nanya Plastics Corporations of the Formosa Plastics Group. In 2005, the company achieved USD1,547 million in revenue, 22.8% growth compared with the previous year.

Nanya owns two 8-inch fabrications presently, which located in Nan Kan and Hwa Ya Technology Park, Taoyuan County , respectively, with a monthly capacity equivalent to 73,000 wafers. Major products include 512Mb DDR/DDR2 SDRAM and Memory Foundry, mainly based on 110nm technology. DDR2 DRAMs have been validated by Intel in the second quarter, 2004.

Nanya singed a Joint Development agreement with Infineon Technologies AG to co-develop 70nm and 90nm process technology and a Joint Venture of 12-inch fab, Inotera Memories Inc. in December, 2002, which enables them to become one of the most competitive DRAM suppliers world-wide. In September, Nanya expanded the development co-operation with Infineon by signing an agreement of joint-developing advanced 60nm-process technology. The strategic partnership will greatly enhance this camp's competitiveness in the highly dynamic DRAM industry. Nanya Tech will continually increase our market share, aiming to be a world-leading DRAM manufacturer.
